MAGIC Magic is a perceived reality and accessible to everyone, therefore it pervades everything. Heka circulates throughout the world like oxygen. The ether exists everywhere and accumulates overtime inside all beings and objects, so the older the object the more power it holds. Spells and incantations of the ancient world derived from Heka himself is the Origin Magic, the strongest and rarest magic of them all. Magoi of the ancient world are the guardians of secret knowledge.
The ODTT (O dromos tou Theo = path of god) make up a select group of individuals who receive their power directly from the gods. To obtain this power, individuals learn of their ren, a secret name that only the individual and gods know. To be given one’s ren is to gain their celestial power. however, if someone learns of another’s name, their magic will be terminated entirely, an existence worse than death. If an ODTT slay any god, they could become a god. Therefore, many stray from their path to discover Origin magic to become immortal. However, it is possible to retrieve one’s ren through enlightenment. Not bound to any god, these individuals are superior to ODTT.
Magoi are the practitioners of magic. One can posses caster magic (from oneself) or holder magic (from an external force). Individuals can regulate their heka through physical labor if they do not wish to be magoi.
Magoi control and refine energy through magic channeling, however it takes away from its raw power. Gods are the only entities that can access heka directly. Mortals who use magic without channeling will implode. When Webb consumed the raw heka his magic corrupted the purity of the heka he consumed, creating a mutated magic that was absorbed over the generations post Keyded.
